What would you do?

We are coming to the end of the challenge and I thought about the future of my blog; getting a bit sentimental here J. I love blogging – but I have the strong feeling that I have to decide on one point what do I want to achieve with my blog? I mean most of you write about special themes...so I think I need to specialise on a certain topic as well.
I really can imagine writing about golfing – there is so much to write about, and there are not many blogs about golfing. I further need to decide if I want to continue blogging in English or switching back to German language. On the one hand, I love to write in English to improve my skills – on the other hand, I am kind of limited because I am not really able to express what I am really thinking. It is so hard to be emotional in another language.
I think that there is one alternative: I continue writing this blog from time to time about whatever comes to my mind and start a new golf-blog. What would you do?

Yours truly,

Hanna

  1. After this challenge is over, I know I won't post as often. Maybe once a week. And my "topic" (language, literature, writing) is broad enough to allow for variety. I think many people will change course in one way or another. So, if you feel you want to go in a different direction, go for it! Do whatever makes you happy.

Perhaps you could blog in Tuesdays (Deutsche Dienstag) and in English on Fridays (foreign Freitag). That way you could reach a broader audience. At least, that is my reasoning for it. Guess you'd have to wait and see if it works out that way or not.

A new blog about golf? Why not? I am not into golf but there are plenty of people in the world who are. You can write it in German so it is easier for you (although I must say, your English is very good).

  2. Didn´t know you speak German ;-) and I am even more surprised that you know Silbermond!!
I love your idea of the foreign friday! I´ll think about it! Have you ever thought about writing a blog-book? If I were a writer, that might be fun to do....

  4. I agree with Linda, you can try it as a dedicated day when you have a topic in mind, and if it works out well and you still wanna write about it, you can always open up a dedicated golf blog!

  5. I think it's a good idea to have a vast range on your blog. After all, how can you stay current and not run out of things to talk about? I've thought about opening various ones for specific things, but I just can't seem to do it because I never want to have to run out of things to talk about!

  6. Still waiting for a Golf bloog...
Language doesn't matter but english would be more effective in a public blogg. Godd luck and thanks for your posts.
